The Lord of Life Child Development Program is a setting for children providing a relaxed environment responsive to the needs of the individual child. Freedom from pressure shall be basic to the program, which seeks to meet the child at his/her present level. We strive, through creative activities and experience, to enhance the child’s social, emotional, spiritual, physical and cognitive growth and awareness.
Consistency in our daily schedule of activities provides a sense of security for the children. Time is provided for each individual child to select his/her own activities and realize personal fulfillment. The daily schedule also includes experience in group life where emphasis is placed on developing interest and concern for others and the ability to relate effectively to others.
Philosophy
Our “Whole Child” philosophy means that your child will be immersed in warm, caring relationships with teachers, who provide fun, educational, hands-on activities that help your child develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, and physically.
Our Center offers care based on high standards for maintaining program quality, with programs tailored for each child's individual needs.
Our qualified and experienced teachers receive continuing education to remain current on childhood development studies and practices.
We have a full nutrition department preparing all meals and snacks daily. Our participation in CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) ensures nutritionally sound meals.
We serve children ages 6 weeks to 12 years with loving, nurturing care. Our quality programs provide foundational elements to infants and toddlers, and our preschool programs provide kindergarten readiness.
We offer unique intergenerational programs with our attached Adult Day Health Center. "Celebration," a program that communicates moral and spiritual values is shared by all. Special intergenerational programs are enjoyed by our four-year-olds, as well.
Children enjoy our modern playgrounds and a large grassy recreational area, as well as our attached 4 1/2 acre nature preserve with trails and a boardwalk.
We have nurses on the premises in case of injury, and specially trained staff to administer medications if necessary.
